Built in the typical yellowish stone of the region, the Casa de Mourens overlooks a vast stretch of landscape in the beautiful Minho region. The estate covers a total area of 32 hectares, including some 10 hectares of vineyards. The remaining 22 hectares comprise a forest of mainly pine, oak and eucalyptus trees which is criss-crossed by a network of paths and tracks, offering guests the possibility of long leisurely strolls or nature trails by horseback. A series of natural springs found on the hillside provide the hotel and adjoining swimming pool with a constant supply of fresh water. These cool springs also help the surrounding fields maintain their lush, green colour right through the year, thus preserving the Minho`s unrivalled reputation as a true garden by the sea. Recently modernised and fully equipped with all modern facilities, the Casa de Mourens offers six apartments, each with separate bathroom, central heating, television, direct-dial telephone and private entrance.
